Assistant Buyer for Accessories


Phoenix  Leather Goods, a Christian based e-commerce retailer of clothing  accessories located in Bolingbrook, Illinois, is seeking an Assistant  Buyer to support both strategic and daily operational activities  focusing on product management, purchasing, sourcing, private label, and  more. This position is full-time and includes bonus opportunities, paid  time off, health & dental insurance, 401k program with company  match after one year of service, merchandise discounts, casual dress  code and opportunities to grow and learn daily in an entrepreneurial  environment.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be in charge of categories
  • Enter orders for Buyers
  • Create new item listings
  • Analyze sales and competition across platforms
  • Place purchase orders for replenishment buys
  • Communicate with Amazon to navigate issues
  • Copy-writing descriptions for online presentation of product
  • Regularly monitor & adjust online presentation of products in designated categories
  • Work with customer service to ensure all backorders are filled or canceled in a timely manner


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
  • Must have an analytical mind and a self-starter
  • 1- 3 year's experience “preferred” in buying or degree in Merchandising
  • 1- 3 year's experience “preferred” in retail & merchandising of fashion / accessories
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Effective negotiating skills
  • Individual must have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to successfully multi-task and follow through on assignments
  • Flexibility - willingness to embrace and adapt to change

Ecommerce Marketing Specialist

  

Position Overview:

Phoenix Leather Goods, a Christian based e-commerce retailer of clothing accessories located in Bolingbrook, Illinois, is seeking an Ecommerce Marketing Specialist to support both strategic and daily operational activities related to marketing and posting new products for ecommerce websites. This position is full-time and includes bonus opportunities, paid time off, health & dental insurance, 401k program with company match after one year of service, merchandise discounts, casual dress code and opportunities to grow and learn daily in an entrepreneurial environment.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Post products to ecommerce websites and marketplaces
  • Update and check product content
  • Work with Amazon, Walmart and other third party marketplaces to resolve product listing issues
  • Analyze data from various channels to identify opportunities to improve visibility and sales growth
  • Continually analyze and create new efficiencies in existing processes
  • Develop engaging social media, email and web content to encourage discussion and promote the company and its products
  • Assist in promotion creation and execution
  • Work closely with the Marketing Team


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business or related discipline
  • Experience with graphic design including Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Experience with ecommerce marketplaces like Amazon, ebay and Walmart
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google Docs and Google Sheets
  • Able to work independently and with a team against project deadlines
  • Close eye for detail with the ability to see how details fit into the larger scope
  • Excellent writing, proofreading, research and problem solving skills
